The city of Westminster Colorado is a suburb of Denver and is located between Boulder and Denver. It is situated in the northwest section of Denver near the Denver/Boulder Turnpike Westminster Colorado Real Estate(US 36), close to I-25 and convenient to the Denver International Airport.

Settlers from the East came to the area after gold was discovered on Little Dry Creek in 1858. The first permanent settler, Pleasant DeSpain, built his home in 1870 and the area became Westminster Real Estateknown as DeSpain Junction. Other early settlers included Edward Bruce Bowles, well known horse breeder, who was a motivating force in bringing the railroad to town in 1881. After wealthy real estate developer C.J. Harris arrived and purchased a great deal of land, the town was renamed Harris Park. In 1911, when the town was incorporated, it was finally renamed Westminster in honor of Westminster University.
