It’s a jeans and t-shirt kind of day.
February 19th, 2009 Posted in DenverHow is it one day we’re over-loaded with snow, like 8 inches and the next day it’s a whopping 70 degrees? and how do people complain about that?
Really? I think it’s fantastic! Growing up in Wisconsin, we had constant snow in the winter and by the end of the season you have a pile up to the top of the roof of a two-story house and you’ve been in at least three minor accidents– one including a wipe out in your driveway with the basketball hoop while the car is parked (don’t ask!) So this is a refreshing change. One day you go sledding, the ground gets a little hydrated and the next your out in a t-shirt and jeans at zoo sans jacket.
Do you know how many times I’ve had friends say “It’s too cold” or “It’s too snowy” when referring to Denver, CO… it’s obvious they have no idea what they’re missing out on. While they’re freezing their bums off in Green Bay, New York or Pittsburgh– I may be too, but tomorrow is always a different story.
Snow mobiles one day, Jet Skis the next. That’s my kind of weather!
